South African sports fans hoping for tickets to next year’s Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia need to be on high alert on Monday, 20 November.

Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) CEO Mark Peters, Australian netball captain Caitlin Bassett and leading Australian gymnast Luke Wadsworth will be in attendance to celebrate the final major release of tickets for GC2018 in the city of Gold Coast at 11am (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on Sunday.

Queensland is eight hours ahead of South Africa.

From midday Queensland time (4am SA time) on Monday 20 November, GOLDOC will release an additional allocation of 100,000 tickets to the general public for the first time.

The final major release of tickets comes after GOLDOC was able to identify as many additional tickets as possible through the completion of venue seating plans, temporary structures, sight lines and camera positions, along with any tickets which have been returned to the general ticket sales pool from Games delivery partners.

A total of 300,000 tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis via gc2018.com/tickets.

This online method is the only way South African sports lovers can purchase tickets to the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
