Our 2012 Paralympian and 2012 US Open wheelchair tennis champion, Lucas Sithole has booked his place in the final of the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters this weekend, writes Mark Etheridge.
And he did so by beating Andy Lapthorne in a must-win clash.
He repeated his victory over the British player in the round-robin stages by winning 7-5 6-1. Lapthorne is a two-time NEC Masters runner-up.
Meanwhile World No1 Wagner ended the round-robin phase unabated after a comprehensive straight sets win (6-1 6-0) over doubles partner and World No4 Nick Taylor.
Sithole, seeded No2 in the world, had also beaten Lapthorne in the the round-robin stages.
