Bolt for Old Trafford

World 100-metre recordholder Usain Bolt is back on track.

Manager Norman Peart has confirmed that the Jamaican will run in a 150-metre street race on Sunday in Manchester.

Just four days after stitches were removed from his left foot following injuries from a recent car crash where he trod on thorns, Bolt has been declared fit and ready to race in England.

‘He is OK. He is training pain-free and is on target to run in Manchester next Sunday,’ Peart said. ‘He will leave either Wednesday or Thursday.’

It also appeared that Bolt did not want to miss out on a chance to see star Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

‘He is really looking forward to going to Manchester and to meet with Ronaldo. He can’t wait,’ Peart said.

Bolt, a keen Manchester United fan, is looking forward to meeting the team in Manchester and will also be introduced to the crowd during halftime during the home game against Arsenal on Saturday. He will also attend the Manchester United Players Awards on Sunday night where he will present the ‘Fans Player of the Year’.
