Hunter hanging steady

South Africa’s Robbie Hunter started Friday’s third stage of the Tour de Luxembourg in 66th position on the general classification list.

The Barloworld cyclist finished just 21 seconds behind second stage winner Danilo Napolitano who covered the 157 kilometres between Luxembourg and Mondorf-les-Bains in 3hr 48min 29sec.

But those 21 seconds saw a total of 102 riders in Napolitano’s slipstream with Hunter in 103rd spot.

Today’s stage, the longest of the five stages, is a 188km trip between Schifflange and Differdange. The race ends in Luxembourg on Sunday.
