Robbie Hunter has moved up to 33rd spot in the Tour of Oman.
This after the South African placed 31st in the third stage, the 124-kilometre ride between Saifat Ash Shiekh and Qurayyat.
The stage was won by Team Sky’s Edvald Boasson Hagen, the Norwegian rider being credited with a time of 3hr 05min 49sec.
Hunter finished in the bunch and the Garmin-Transitions rider now finds himself 20 seconds behind overall leader Hagen whose 8:00:54 heads the general classification.
Good news for Hunter is that his side now top the team standings with an overall time of 24:03:42, after also topping the stage in 9:17:27.
Wednesday’s fourth stage is a longer ride of 187km (in fact its the longest and hilliest stage of the tour) between Ibri and Nakhal.
