Youth Olympic and Commonwealth Games swimming sensation Chad Le Clos continues to impress with a string of impressive results at the South African junior national swimming championships in Durban.
His schedule over the five days of the championships included events in the 100/200/400 freestyle, 50/100/200 butterfly, 200 backstroke and 400IM and the relays.
The Youth Olympic record holder proved once again his amazing versatility by winning 11 gold medals, winning every single event he competed at the championships.
“I’m happy with all the fly races and 100 free but others could have been a lot better, for example the 200m free,ÔÇØ explained Le Clos.
Graham Hill, recently appointed Swimming SA head coach, and who guides the precocious talent of Le Clos, was happy with his progression leading up to the senior national Championships in April.
Le Clos who was recently appointed ambassador for the Cancer association ┬áof South Africa and is now looking forward to a successful Senior Nationals before preparing for the FINA World championships in Shanghai, China later in the year.
