Proteas Women ready to battle Australia

An eagerly awaited contest is set to entertain fans this evening when hosts South Africa face champions Australia in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Tonight’s match-up will entail some spice and a hint of revenge, as the two teams do battle for the first time in a T20I since the Aussies knocked the Proteas out in a semi-final of the 2020 edition of the competition.

As part of the double-header at St George’s Park, fans will be treated to another blockbuster encounter as England take on India in the opening game scheduled to get underway at 3pm.

There will be no shortage of entertainment on or off the field, with a performance from Idols South Africa season six runner-up Lloyd Cele forming part of the experience.

The Proteas will take on Australia at 7pm.
