RESULTS: How Team SA fared on Thursday

Team SA started the day at the 13th African Games in Accra with a total of 98 medals. They have already surpassed their total achieved in Morocco in 2019 of 86. Alan Cumming in the men’s hammer throw made it medal No99 for Team SA with bronze, lifting athletics to six medals. Boxing’s Lubablo Lusizi is through to Friday night’s 51kg division final, which technically makes him the 100th Team SA medallist, although it can’t be reflected on the medals table until the colour is determined. John Masamba lost his 63.5kg semi-final but will earn a bronze medal.
