Five South African figure-skaters proudly strutted their stuff for South Africa on the international rink in Italy and France.
The two Western Province boys and three girls represented South Africa in Italy and France respectively.
The 29th Coppa Europa competition was held in the small town of Canazei in the heart of the Dolomites mountain range in Italy from 29 March to 2 April. The Egna Spring Trophy, an annual ISU event, was scheduled one week after the 29th Coppa Europa, from 6 to 9 April, and also held in Italy.
Nicolas van de Vijver (pictured on the podium) competed in Basic Novice A section, taking podium in both competitions, placing ahead of a boy from Slovenia in Coppa Europa competition and a boy from Emirates in Egna Spring Trophy. He earned his personal best score in Egna.
Sinali Sango (right) competed in the Advanced Novice section in Egna Spring Trophy and placed fourth, earning his personal best score this season and beating two German opponents.
The three Western Province girls travelled to Paris to Rooster Cup and OMS Trophy competitions between 14 and 16 April.
Marion Papka (Advanced Novice section, pictured below with the SA flag) had an unfortunate first day of competition, but soared all the way up in the second day, placing 12th overall in Rooster Cup.
Stella Beek (Cubs Girls) had a great experience at the OMS Trophy, placing seventh out of 20 girls, and placed 31st at Rooster Cup the next day.
Ella Hawkes (Cubs Girls), who was the youngest in the WP team, placed 28th at the Rooster Cup competition.
