TFA Dubai returns to SA to recruit the country’s promising football talent

Local football hopefuls will have the chance to bag a professional contract in the United Arab Emirates with TFA Dubai announcing their return to South Africa for the EPC Tours Football Trials.

Building on the success of their first event in Johannesburg earlier this year, where three participants made it to the first team In Dubai, these latest trials will take place in Cape Town from 29 January to 3 February 2024 at Santos Sports Complex.

“This event is a vital stepping stone for footballers aged 17-23, offering a platform to showcase their skills and make a move into the professional ranks,” said Ali El Jishi, Technical Director and Founder of TFA.

“It’s an incredible opportunity for those who are serious about a future in football.

“We had a hugely successful event in Johannesburg this year where three players were selected and handed professional contracts to play in Dubai.

“This programme provides the perfect platform for those looking to make the move up – first to the Middle East and then potentially also to Europe so I’d encourage youngsters from across the African continent to join us in Cape Town in January,” added El Jeshi.

Those selected at the trials will receive a one-year professional football contract, including an air ticket to Dubai along with accommodation, food, and transport as part of the player package.

TFA, a club in the UAE’s Professional Football League – Division 3 and recognised by FIFA, is renowned for accelerating young players’ careers towards European clubs.

This trial offers the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of last year’s South African achievers, Jean-Dee Degueldre, Jeremia Tefo and Mohammed Sa’ad Gani, and showcase talents in front of professional coaches.

Registration for the event can be done through Quicket for a price of R1,375.
