The month of June is an important month as we celebrate Youth Day.
Update from Olympic House
The month of April is a significant month in our national calendar as we celebrate South Africa’s Freedom Day, the liberation which has allowed us in the sports fraternity to compete at international level.
As we near the end of the first quarter of the year, we are extremely pleased with the major milestone of successfully lodging the Commonwealth Games 2022 Bid in London early this month.
The year 2015 has started out on a good note with most of our South African teams performing well in their various international sporting competitions thus far.
Warmest greetings of the season and the best of wishes for 2015.
It is very sad that the year has ended on a depressing note for the sports fraternity. We have experienced three unprecedented deaths in the South African sport within the space of a week and this has left a huge dent in the industry.
The month of September has been another busy one for SASCOC with the hosting of our 2014 Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Spring is upon us, symbolising the beginning of a new season and the fulfilling of fresh accomplishments. With only three months to go before the year ends, it's business as usual at Olympic House as we round up our events for the 2014 calendar.
The Commonwealth Games have come and gone and with much pride I once again congratulate Team SA for a job well done during the two weeks of what was intense competition in Glasgow.
We bring you yet another update from the Olympic House as we have hit the half-year mark already. It's a busy year in our sports calendar as we deliver Team South Africa to various games but we are pleased to highlight that the first half has been successful.
