Team SA’s women’s wheelchair basketball warriors surged to the top of the standings at the African Para Games in Accra, Ghana, with another win on Friday.
Having opened up with a 64-6 win over Zambia, they followed that by beating Ghana 51-31 in their second match. Morocco were next up and South Africa won 40-20 before they kept their perfect winning streak intact with the 48-15 victory over Kenya.
Friday’s win over Kenya at the Eden Heights Sports Complex was comfortable and clinical and it means that Team SA are still unbeaten in the tournament, having won all four of their games. The only other unbeaten country is Algeria, with three from three.
South Africa are back on the court on Sunday, when they come up against the DR Congo at 3.30pm SA time.
