South African swimming superstar Chad le Clos added a third gold at the FINA World Short-Course Swimming Championships in Doha on Saturday.
The Olympic and Commonwealth gold medallist snatched the 50m men’s butterfly in a new championship record of 21.95 seconds.
This after the KwaZulu-Natal ace had bettered his own record, set in Friday’s semi-final, by 0.25sec.
Brazil’s Nicholas Sanchez finished second behind Le Clos in a time of 22.08sec.
