Summer Olympics

The Olympics are considered the pinnacle of sport. It is a multi-code event, staged every four years that first took place in 1896. South Africa competed in 12 Olympics’ from 1904 to 1960, after which they were suspended from competing due to the country’s apartheid policy. South Africa were re-admitted in 1992 and have taken part in all eight subsequent Games.
