Six medals (so far) for Team SA at African Beach Games

Team South Africa have upped their medals to six at the 2nd African Beach Games which are currently under way in Hammamet, Tunisia.

There has been one silver medal and five bronze medals so far in what is an ideal preparation for the World Beach Games to be held in Bali in August.

The medal winners so far are:

KARATE (4)
Jesse Sim (bronze, male individual kata)
Maxine Willemse (bronze, female individual Kaya)
Team kata male (bronze): Jesse Sim, Bongi Ngwenya, Slade Taylor
Team Kata female (bronze): Ayesha Esop, Sanjana Maharaj, Timia Goberdin

ROWING (2)
Women’s double (silver): Alexandra Ennis and Ziyanda Gwamanda
Men’s double (bronze): Lunga Mcetywa and George du Plooy
