Northern Gauteng continued their good form at the men’s under-21 interprovincial hockey tournament at Hartleyvale, Cape Town.
After coming from behind to beat KwaZulu-Natal Coastal 2-1 the previous day, Northern Gauteng beat neighbours Southern Gauteng 4-0 to top Pool A.
Pre-tournament favourites Western Province were held to a 1-1 draw by the KZN Coastal side.
In Pool B the SA Under-19 team went tops after a hard fought 3-2 victory over the KZN Inland team.
