The South African Paralympic team have settled into their Games routine comfortably and will be looking forward to some exciting dates over the next week or so, writes Mark Etheridge.

Friday will see them hosted at South Africa House in the city, just as their Olympic counterparts were before their competition.

Then Monday, 27 August will see the South African flag being raised at the Olympic village and the team will be serenaded by the British Youth Theatre as they are welcomed by the Village Mayor.

The opening ceremony will take place at the Olympic Stadium on Wednesday, 29 August with competition scheduled to start the next day.

The Games will conclude on Sunday 9 September.
