South Africa’s Olympic governing body SASCOC has once again stepped in to assist Cricket South Africa on the road forward.
SASCOC Chief Executive Officer Mr Tubby Reddy confirmed on Saturday that he had met with the Honorable Minister of Sport, Mr Fikile Mbalula, this week in this regard.
The two met in Johannesburg on Thursday, 29 September during which the Honorable Minister was fully briefed on the CSA process in relation to the allegations made by its President Mr Mtutuzeli Nyoka around the sum of R68-million allegedly not accounted for, alleged misappropriation of funds and alleged non-disclosure of bonus payments.
“The honorable minister was presented with a full set set of documents as well as a full explanation of all the processes undertaken which resulted in the CSA Board’s unanimous decision in their recent board meeting in Port Elizabeth,” Reddy said on Saturday.
“The next step of the matter is that the Honorable Minister will now revert to SASCOC shortly with his final decision on this matter,” concluded Reddy.
