Men’s doubles, Group D: Grant Goldschmidt and Leo Williams beat Muzamil Ateya and Nagi Osman (Sudan) 21-11 21-7. They followed up by beating Ishmail Bangura and John Sorie Kamara (Sierra Leone) 21-16 21-7 to top Group D and advance to the quarter-finals

Women’s Under-20: South Africa lost 3-0 to Nigeria

Women’s -78kg: Unelle Snyman. She has a bye into the quarter-finals where she will meet the winner of Zimbabwe’s Christi-Rose Pretorius or Gedeon Daniella of Chad.
